Description: This layer is a comprehensive inventory of all trails and pathways in Montgomery Township. Trails, paved walkways, bike lanes, and other pedestrian features are included in this layer. Sidewalks are not a part of this dataset, we have another layer specifically for sidewalks. Attributes for this dataset include ownership, material composition, category and status of trails. This dataset includes trails that are existing as well as those that are not yet constructed but have been proposed. This data has been created by Montgomery Township's GIS Department. Data was created by referencing aerial photos, GPS field data collection and by georeferencing plans & surveys. Proposed & future pathways were created by referencing the Township of Montgomery's Master Plan: Recreation Plan and Conservation Plan Elements.
